The Loquat is an extremely hardy tree that can be grown on many different types of soil and in many climates.They do prefer a dryer climate so if planting in areas of high rainfall they will do best in well drained soil mixed with sand and even some rocks for extra drainage.Standard fertlising is required as well on a monthly basis.
