The Davidson plum is an Australian Native bush tucker plum that grows wild in many parts of Australia(See map in images section).The fruit are around a standard plum size and have a darkish purple coloured skin with a crimson / magenta colour on the inside.They can tolerate a wide range of soils and temperatures where there is aqequate rainfall.They are high in anti oxidants and have studies have shown that they have anti aging properties.They are often used in jams but some people love their sour tangy taste.

The Davidson plum is a native tree to Australia so it can be grown in many regions (see map in images section)Because it is native it will grow in many types of soils and climates and are a very tough tree in most conditions.They do need adequate water in their natural environment but can be grown in most gardens as long as the water is kept up to them.They should be planted in a partly shaded area to survive when they are younger but once they grow taller they will handle full sun.

Their fern like growing pattern makes them a very attractive tree to have in the garden.
