The Coco Plum is a native tree to central and south America and grows well in coastal and hinterland areas as it can handle salt air and saline soils well.
It grows slow and is mor shrub like in appearance when it is young but eventually will grow bigger but are easily pruned.The Coco Plum bears a lot of edible fruit that are have a mild sweetness to them.The Fruit starts out a lightish pink colour and then turns a deep purple if left to mature on the tree properly.The Coco plum is know to have many health benefits including cancer fighting agents such as epicatechin which can slow down the growth of cancer cells.It als help to fight heart diseases and has many other health benefits as well.
