The Bilimbi is native to Southeast Asia, thrives in tropical and subtropical climates and is an excellent addition to any home garden. It is also quite hardy like the Carambola and will still grow well in cold climates as well.Growing into a compact tree and is a slow grower, it produces bright green to yellow fruit , that look like a small cucumber with a crisp texture .They are known for their sharp, tangy , sour flavor and are used for culinary Asian dishes or refreshing drinks.

- The carambola is a slow-growing , short-trunked evergreen tree with a bushy canopy that is broad and rounded. Mature trees reach around 6 metres. They can also be grown in a large pot and are a very ornamental looking fruit tree .They can be grown in most soils but need a lot of water and warm summers to be their best.They take 3 years to fruit and generall fruit twice a year .
